Zaffer 9 è un progetto musicale cecoslovacco, cupo e tenero, che vede protagonisti l’artista ceca Helena Hájková e l’artista slovacco Viktor Jenčuš. Combinando elementi witch house con generi come l’hyperpop, il glitchcore e la techno, il loro lavoro risulta una miscela unica di giocosità e oscurità. Zaffer 9 porta la tenerezza nel caos aggressivo, con synth stregoneschi e accompagnamenti vocali. A marzo 2023 il duo ha pubblicato l’EP di debutto “MILK” per la nota etichetta di musica sperimentale slovacca Weltschmerzen: nato da sospiri orgasmici e glitch giocosi, si evolve in melodie discordanti e tempi elevati. La voce gentile, accompagnata da suoni grezzi di synth, si trasforma in una forma più oscura e distorta. Il corpo si raffredda, la parola rallenta e tutto si ferma con una ninna nanna ambient dai testi quasi narrativi. Il duo si è esibito in numerosi show in Slovacchia e nella Repubblica Ceca. Attualmente sta arricchendo la gamma dei bassi, rendendo i sintetizzatori più brillanti e nitidi, introducendo nel mix batteria e riff metal dal vivo. Ogni esibizione live è unica, senza esitazioni nel testare nuovi brani & suoni e reimmaginare quelli esistenti. E così sarà per il loro live in prima italiana sabato 22 giugno al Dancity Summer Festival 2024 in collaborazione con Klang (Roma).

Zaffer 9 is a dark and tender Czechoslovakian music project featuring Czech artist Helena Hájková and Slovakian artist Viktor Jenčuš. Combining witch house elements with genres such as hyperpop, glitchcore and techno, their work is a unique blend of playfulness and darkness. Zaffer 9 brings tenderness to aggressive chaos with witch-like synths and vocal accompaniments. In March 2023, the duo released their debut EP ‘MILK’ on the well-known Slovakian experimental music label Weltschmerzen: born from orgasmic sighs and playful glitches, it evolves into discordant melodies and high tempos. Gentle vocals, accompanied by raw synth sounds, transform into a darker, more distorted form. The body cools down, speech slows down and everything stops with an ambient lullaby with almost narrative lyrics. The duo has performed at numerous shows in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. They are currently enriching the bass range, making the synthesisers brighter and sharper, introducing drums and live metal riffs into the mix. Each live performance is unique, with no hesitation in testing new songs & sounds and re-imagining existing ones. And so it will be for their Italian premiere live show on Saturday 22 June at Dancity Summer Festival 2024 in collaboration with Klang (Rome).
