Musicista, artista visivo, regista e studioso dominicano-americano di Los Angeles. Nato e cresciuto a New York, si è diplomato al LaGuardia e si è trasferito in Corea del Sud prima di studiare al CalArts. Come DJ e produttore è principalmente affiliato alla crew Rail Up di Los Angeles, alla Hundebiss Records di Milano e all’etichetta APOCALIPSIS di Riobamba, che ha pubblicato il suo album “13th Month”. La creazione del disco è stata ispirata dai cicli lunari indigeni che ha imparato a conoscere mentre viveva nella riserva indiana di Pine Ridge, nel South Dakota, dove ha girato un documentario intitolato “To the North”. I suoi interessi artistici e di studioso si concentrano sui temi del razzismo, della brutalità della polizia e dell’interazione tra gruppi svantaggiati e architettura civile. Nel 2021 ha fondato insieme ad Ans M l’etichetta discografica Scorpio Red. Le sue astrazioni elettroniche tendono a essere malleabili, fondendosi con il dembow, il reggaeton e i ritmi caraibici, spesso atmosferici e lunatici, carichi di emozioni. È un suono che è fiorito negli spazi underground di tutto il mondo e ha attirato fan praticamente in ogni angolo del pianeta, compresa Beyoncé, tanto che uno dei suoi brani è entrato a far parte di “I’m That Girl”, brando di apertura dell’album “Renaissance” (2022) della cantante. Ha già conquistato il pubblico di Dancity all’edizione Winter  del 2019: sabato 22 giugno torna al Festival per l’attesissimo b2b insieme con DJ Python.

Los Angeles-based Dominican-American musician, visual artist, filmmaker and scholar. Born and raised in New York, he graduated from LaGuardia and moved to South Korea before studying at CalArts. As a DJ and producer, he is mainly affiliated with the Los Angeles-based Rail Up crew, Milan-based Hundebiss Records and Riobamba-based label APOCALIPSIS, which released his album ’13th Month’. The creation of the album was inspired by the indigenous lunar cycles he learnt about while living on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, where he shot a documentary entitled ‘To the North’. His artistic and scholarly interests focus on issues of racism, police brutality and the interaction between disadvantaged groups and civic architecture. In 2021 he co-founded the record label Scorpio Red with Ans M. His electronic abstractions tend to be malleable, blending with dembow, reggaeton and Caribbean rhythms, often atmospheric and moody, charged with emotion. It is a sound that has blossomed in underground spaces around the world and has attracted fans in virtually every corner of the globe, including Beyoncé, so much so that one of its tracks became part of ‘I’m That Girl’, the opening track of the singer’s ‘Renaissance’ album (2022). He has already won over Dancity audiences at the 2019 Winter edition: he returns to the festival on Saturday 22 June for the highly anticipated b2b together with DJ Python.
