Francisco è uno dei progetti solisti di Francesco de Bellis, DJ e produttore romano. Il suo esordio discografico è del 1996 come MAT101, insieme a Mario Pierro aka ROTLA. L’album del duo, “Goodbye Mum”, rielabora influenze arcade e sonorità electro ed è tuttora considerato un classico. Nel 1999 MAT101 evolve in Jolly Music: spaziando dalla psichedelia alla disco, dall’electro all’hip hop, l’originalità del suono porta ad un contratto con Illustrious Records, sub label dance oriented della Sony UK. Il disco viene immediatamente riconosciuto in Inghilterra come una delle novità più interessanti del 2000, aprendo le porte a collaborazioni importanti, come quella con Erlend Oye dei Kings of Convenience. Dopo 10 anni di release su Nature Records e Pigna, Francesco inizia la sua carriera da solista come Francisco e Mr. Cisco, con produzioni su Klaxon, 20/20 Vision, Eskimo e Slow Motion, per citarne alcune. Da sempre grande collezionista di vinili, il suo suono è frizzante e poliedrico, a cavallo tra l’italo più matura, la house Chicago e la disco old school. Nel 2013 crea insieme a Gerd Janson (il boss di Running Back, anche lui presente al Festival) Edizioni Mondo.  L’etichetta, ispirandosi all’estetica library music e ad un immaginario naturalistico, propone sonorità stile soundtrack. Nel 2016, sempre su Edizioni Mondo, esce “I Semi Del Futuro”, l’album del suo nuovo progetto L.U.C.A. Dopo alcuni remix per Four Flies Records, Afro Discoteca di Alessandro Alessandroni e Africa Oscura di Giuliano Sorgini, nel 2022 L.U.C.A. pubblica su Edizioni Mondo l’EP “Venus”, un breve viaggio tra le stelle, e su International Feel l’album “Terra”. Domenica 23 giugno il suo set al Dancity Summer Festival 2024!

Francisco is one of the solo projects of Roman DJ and producer Francesco de Bellis. His recording debut was in 1996 as MAT101, together with Mario Pierro aka ROTLA. The duo’s album, ‘Goodbye Mum’, reworked arcade influences and electro sounds and is still considered a classic. In 1999, MAT101 evolved into Jolly Music: ranging from psychedelia to disco, from electro to hip hop, the originality of the sound led to a contract with Illustrious Records, Sony UK’s dance-oriented sub label. The record was immediately recognised in the UK as one of the most interesting new releases of 2000, opening the door to important collaborations, such as the one with Erlend Oye of Kings of Convenience. After 10 years of releases on Nature Records and Pigna, Francesco began his solo career as Francisco and Mr. Cisco, with productions on Klaxon, 20/20 Vision, Eskimo and Slow Motion, to name a few. Always a great vinyl collector, his sound is sparkling and multifaceted, straddling the most mature Italo, Chicago house and old school disco. In 2013, he and Gerd Janson (the boss of Running Back, also present at the Festival) created Edizioni Mondo. The label, inspired by library music aesthetics and naturalistic imagery, offers soundtrack-style sounds. In 2016, again on Edizioni Mondo, he released “I Semi Del Futuro”, the album of his new project L.U.C.A. After a few remixes for Four Flies Records, Alessandro Alessandroni’s Afro Disco and Giuliano Sorgini’s Africa Oscura, in 2022 L.U.C.A. released the EP “Venus”, a short journey among the stars on Edizioni Mondo and the album “Terra” on International Feel. On Sunday 23 June his set at Dancity Summer Festival 2024!
