Un inedito b2b quello tra Piezo e Toma Kami, che per la prima volta prenderà forma al Dancity Festival 2023 giovedì 1 giugno.

La musica del produttore, DJ e sound artist di Milano Piezo nasce dall’intersezione tra UK techno, cultura del sound-system e musica dance mutante. Dopo essere uscito su etichette britanniche molto rinomate, come Idle Hands, Swamp81, Orson’s Version e Wisdom Teeth di Facta & K- Lone, ha fondato la propria label Ansia, diventata un cult tra alcuni dei DJ più interessanti del mondo, come Batu, Laurel Halo e Low Jack. Nel 2020 ha pubblicato il suo primo full-length “Perdu” ed è stato incluso nel roster della piattaforma SHAPE sostenuta da Europa Creativa. Il 2022 ha visto il suo ritorno su Wisdom Teeth con “LSD Superhero”, mentre è di fine aprile 2023 l’EP “Odd Hooks” pubblicato su Ansia. È attivo anche nel campo della sound art e delle installazioni interattive.

TOMA KAMI

Dalla sua prima apparizione come produttore nel 2017, Toma Kami ha plasmato silenziosamente un suono eclettico ma riconoscibile con diverse uscite sulla Livity Sound di Bristol e sulla sua Man Band. I suoi dinamici DJ set sono diventati sinonimi di cavalcate selvagge attraverso bassi pesanti, dancehall, techno, jungle, electro, rap e qualsiasi altro stile che si adatti alla sua espressione di energia specificamente fisica e insolita sulla pista da ballo. Un approccio che lo ha portato in tournée in Europa, Asia e Australia e gli ha garantito una residenza alle famose feste Fusion Mes Couilles di Parigi, oltre a uno show mensile su Rinse France con un impressionante flusso di ospiti.

The music of Milan-based producer, DJ and sound artist Piezo stems from the intersection of UK techno, sound-system culture and mutant dance music. After releasing on renowned UK labels such as Idle Hands, Swamp81, Orson’s Version and Facta & K- Lone’s Wisdom Teeth, he founded his own label Ansia, which has become a cult among some of the world’s most interesting DJs such as Batu, Laurel Halo and Low Jack. In 2020 he released his first full-length ‘Perdu’ and was included in the roster of the SHAPE platform supported by Creative Europe. The year 2022 saw his return on Wisdom Teeth with ‘LSD Superhero’, while the EP ‘Odd Hooks’ released on Anxiety is from late April 2023. He is also active in the field of sound art and interactive installations.

TOMA KAMI

Since his first appearance as a producer in 2017, Toma Kami has quietly shaped an eclectic yet recognisable sound with several releases on Bristol’s Livity Sound and his Man Band. His dynamic DJ sets have become synonymous with wild rides through bass heavy, dancehall, techno, jungle, electro, rap and any other style that suits his specifically physical and unusual expression of energy on the dance floor. An approach that has taken him on tour to Europe, Asia and Australia and secured him a residency at the famous Fusion Mes Couilles parties in Paris, as well as a monthly show on Rinse France with an impressive stream of guests.
